I've been working with Oracle Manufacturing Applications since 1994, first as co-implementation project manager at Amdahl, then managing the manufacturing applications support group. In 1997 I moved to the consulting side. I've implemented Oracle applications in discrete manufacturing and several fabless semiconductor companies. From 1997 through 1Q2001 I chaired the Discrete Manufacturing Special Interest Group SIG. I've co-presented 3 papers at OAUG conferences. In my SIG role I partularly enjoyed enabling users and Oracle development staff to communicate on product enhancements and new product requirements.

How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
I'd like to increase communication between users regarding effective ways to configure applications to save time and prevent errors. I'd also like to increase opportunities for interested users to work with Oracle product managers and developers to enhance core applications and design new products. As Discrete SIG Chair we arranged several focus user groups during Warehouse Management design at Oracle.

How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
I have a solid understanding of user requirements for successful implementations and system enhancements due to my multi faceted experience. I have very strong relationships with Oracle Supply Chain Development and Support that I could leverage as a Board Member. I plan to contribute to the continued growth and strengthening of the OAUG by utilizing my network and knowledge to ensure that we have the right suppliers and presenters participating so that the Users receive maximum benefit from the NorCal OAUG events and information.

Further, I bring knowledge of OSI Consultings cutting edge Oracle based innovations which include clients from San Diego to Vancouver B.C. including Qualcomm, Toyota Financial, Tektronix, Ritchie Bros and Shaw Communications.

Create more user group panels to address the business challenges through Oracle Apps. Create advisory groups to build a bridge between the end users and Oracle product designers. Change the NorCal OAUG structure to be more interactive for end users, consultants and product designers.

Currently consult within the bay area to select clients that are pushing the envelope of Oracle and as the 2006 Titan award winner for developing a Electronic records and electronic signature solution for the FDA regulated environments which Oracle now incorporates into its release product.

How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
I believe that my knowledge and expertise within the life sciences industry will add to the boards already diversified talents also to work with other board members that are focused on Oracles future releases specifically R12 and some of the new products that Oracle has that add onto the current applications.
