Daniel Gonzalez

Oracle Consulting Practice Manager, EBS OCP, Oracle

Affiliation: Non-User

Experience:
I have been working with Oracle EBS applications as an Oracle employee for over 11 years. Within that time frame I have filled several roles within the EBS space including FND/AOL/ATG phone support analyst, field support engineer, NAC consultant, Project Management Office lead, Technical Quality Assurance expert and manager of an Apps DBA practice. Therefore, I have seen the EBS evolution from 10.7 Character mode all the way through the current R12.1 release due out shortly. In addition to all of this, I have been involved at a technical capacity with every Oracle technology imaginable that supports, compliments or is commonly deployed alongside the EBS stack. Within the past couple of years, I have become very involved with OOW and OAUG communities to support and promote EBS awareness across the board. I have presented at the SROUAG conference twice with Deep Ram (one of which was at a keynote capacity) and recently presented/participated at the NorCal OAUG conference. In closing, I would like to add that although I currently fill a consulting manager role, I have a current EBS OCP designation and interact with clients, support, development, sales and consultants to provide EBS technical leadership on a daily basis.

How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
I would like to assist at any capacity required. Given that I work directly for Oracle and have developed quite a large network throughout my 11+ year tenure, I feel that I could strengthen ties to various internal channels. My involvement with various OAUG organizations have also given me insight into what does and does not work, so I hope to bring fresh ideas and strong leadership in strengthening the level of group activity and further enhancing event cohesiveness. Within Oracle I provide leadership and take a systematic approach to getting programs off the ground, that require part time involvement of already burdened resources. Each program that I have put in place has shown staying power, innovative thinking, addresses gaps in current methods and are engineered to become self sufficient in the long run. I would apply those lessons learned to address any gaps currently affecting NorCal OAUG, enhance the overall quality of the community and drive solutions that will take NorCal OAUG to the next level.

Paul Kirch

Director, Oracle Applications Best Practices Implementation Group, The Hackett Group

Affiliation: Non-User

Experience:
I first worked with Oracle Applications since version 9.4.2., as a consultant with Coopers Lybrand in 1994. In 1995, I joined Oracle where I worked for 5 years during the period 1995-2000, first as a Sales Consultant in the Oracle SWAT team and later as a Practice Manager in the Oracle One group. When I started working with Oracle Applications, I worked primarily with the Financials modules and later the Distribution and Manufacturing modules. I have managed large, complex Oracle projects from both the corporate and the consulting side of projects, so I have a very broad understanding of the entire Oracle applications sales and implementation process. Over the last few years I have built up expertise with Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP), iSupplier, iProcurement, HR and Payroll and have had some exposure to Siebel, Global Order Promise (GOP), Demantra, RETEK and gLog.

How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
As a member of Oracle’s Fusion Applicatins Strategy Council, and a regular speaker at Norcal OAUG events, Oracle Open World and OAUG, my deep knowledge of Oracle applications, both past and future, make me a unique candidate for the OAUG Norcal Board of Directors. At OAUG Collaborate ’09 in Orlando, Florida, I will deliver a presentation on Fusion Applications: An Update, and sit on the Multinational SIG panel that will discuss implementation issues around Oracle R12. I have a vast experience organization groups and securing speakers for groups like the Norcal OAUG. While with Coopers Lybrand early in my career, I ran a speakers group that, on a monthly basis, brought together Controllers, CFO’s and other corporate officers to hear though leaders present on issues of concern to the financial community. My experience in organizing conferences, skill in public speaking, and knowledge of Oracle Applications make me an excellent candidate for the Norcal OAUG Board. To serve the Oracle community in the SF Bay Area, to work in contributing to and improving the northern California debate on the Oracle e-Business Applications Suite by involving speakers from companies who can speak to best practices in their use of Oracle applications would be a great honor for me.
