To
those seeking Board nomination and election to the NorCal OAUG Board:
It is always a great encouragement to see the number of folks that want to
participate in the Northern California OAUG, especially those that express a
desire to help serve our membership by becoming a Board member.
Due to the response of those that have submitted their name as a nominee in the upcoming election process, we felt that it was necessary to reiterate the requirements of service and update the By-Laws.
The key feature that has been added to the NorCal OAUG By-Laws is the requirement that Board member either live or work within the Northern California region. Most members would agree that it is important that their Board be represented by those that live/work within the same geographic location as the membership that they represent.
If you have submitted your name as a potential Board candidate and do not meet this, or any other Board requirement, please email the Board and let them know that you need to have your name removed from the upcoming ballot.
Again, it is in the best interest of our membership that these basic requirements exist for our organization. We certainly appreciate everyone’s participation, especially those that have put their name forward as willing to serve the membership.
Thank
you,
Carl Harter
Chairman, NorCal OAUG Board
